Instructor: Dan Thompson
Location: Online
January 16 — January 17, 2021
Time: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Tuition: $250

This class will be held online using Zoom for live teaching and Google Classroom for resources and materials. Students will need access to a laptop or desktop computer. Find further instructions for working online and the supply list at the bottom of the page.

This intensive course has been designed to focus students on studying the human hand in great depth and is open to students of all levels. Beginning with an overview exploring structures to interpret from life, students will be guided through practical application—drawing the anatomy, proper movement, the planes of light and shadow on hands and the subtlety of the wrist region to and from the forearm.

Given their huge potential for expression, this opportunity to explore constructive interpretations of the hand and its subdivisions promises significant developments in student drawing and painting, with the attributes of profound structure and feeling.
