Students will also focus on:

· Value composition: seeing big shapes of light and dark

· Form: Exploring half-tones through rendering on toned paper

· Alternate drawing techniques such as working on toned paper and Reductive drawing

This workshop is for students of all skill levels from people— those who are just starting through advanced. We have group discussions and demonstrations daily. Students leave with a clear understanding of the elements of drawing and how to improve their work.

Juliette Aristides is founder/instructor at the Aristides Atelier, Gage Academy of Art, Seattle. She teaches workshops
 nationally and internationally. She is the author of The Classical Drawing Atelier, The Classical Painting
Atelier, and Lessons in Classical Drawing and a frequent contributor to The Artist’s
Magazine. Her work has been featured in magazines such as Fine Art Connoisseur, American Art Collector,
American Artist, and Gulf Connoisseur Magazine. She exhibits in one-person and group shows nationally.

Workshops Payment and Refund Policies
Due to limited class space, tuition is non-refundable. A credit for tuition may be issued up to
30 days before the first workshop class. No credit will be issued after that time. Credits are valid from one year of issue. Registration and enrollment is first-come, first-served with full tuition due at time of registration.
Continuing Education and Emerging Artists School-year Program Payment and Refund Policies
Due to limited class space, tuition must be paid in full at time of registration. A $100 fee is applied for cancellation up to the first class. No refunds will be issued after the first class.
