These intensive programs concentrate on a single aspect and allow artists, both working professionals and serious amateurs, to build upon their existing skills and learn new ones. Workshops are day-long classes usually running for five consecutive days. They are taught by Studio Incamminati instructors and carefully selected visiting instructors. Workshops are offered throughout the year at Studio Incamminati's Philadelphia studio and at selected locations around the United States. A portfolio review is not required.
Students focus on the principles essential to achieve a convincing three-dimensional representation of the human figure in oils.
Using four different poses over two days, this portrait drawing workshop studies the aesthetic changes which take place in a model’s facial expression.
Students develop a single finished portrait by sequentially working through the critical components of composition, gesture, shape, structure and color.
Students learn to create the human figure in clay on an armature from direct observation.
