Robin Frey Oil Painting the Figure Lyceum Hall

Oil Painting: The Figure
Robin Frey
Mondays, 6 - 9 p.m.
Sept. 24 - Nov. 26

Tuition $399

The purpose of the course is to further develop the student's ability to see color on form. The instructor emphasizes that the initial lay-in of color separating light from shade is still vital and valid, but that the student must push further into a painting with longer poses. At the end of this course the student will be able to build and model form with color, incorporate drawing with color, and use color more effectively in a composition.

Robin Dawn Frey received an Honor Award in the Portrait Society of America’s 2008 Portrait Competition and was one of four studio artists chosen by Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for Face to Face: The Craniofacial Program Portrait Project. Her work is featured in “Portrait Painting Atelier: Old Master Techniques and Contemporary Applications.” She has exhibited in numerous shows and her work is included in many private collections.
