Jafang Lu joined Studio Incamminati in the fall of 2002. While studying with Nelson Shanks in the Professional Program, Ja Fang studied with Michael Grimaldi, Robert Liberace, Anthony Ryder, Jon deMartin and Ted Seth Jacobs at Studio Incamminati.
Jafang is a member of the Studio Incamminati Professional Program faculty. In addition, her teaching experience includes conducting Portfolio Program painting classes and a workshop in Color Studies with fellow instructor, Lea Wight. She has assisted in Nelson Shanks Intensive Painting Workshops at Studio Incamminati; the Armory Arts Center workshops in West Palm Beach, FL; the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art workshop, and the New York Academy of Figurative Art.
Jafang's work has been exhibited at Mohawk Valley Community College, Utica, NY, as well as in the Studio Incamminati group exhibitions at the Chauncey Center, Princeton, NJ, Daylesford Abbey, Paoli, PA, and the annual Philadelphia Open Studio Tour (POST) exhibition at Studio Incamminati. Her work is in the Larry and Anne Hall Collection and the collections of Mr. & Mrs. Gary Mertz, Mr. & Mrs. J. Williams and Mr. Joseph Hargrove & Ms. Carla Servin.
Prior to her arrival at Studio Incamminati, Ja Fang studied at the Art Students League of New York, the Continuing Education Program at The New York Academy of Figurative Art, and Greenwich House Pottery. She was awarded a Merit Scholarship to the Art Students League of New York, NY in 2001-2002. Ja Fang majored in Creative Writing and minored in Ceramics and holds a B.A. from The City College of New York University.
