Learn More About Us

At Studio Incamminati students are intensively educated in skill-building and the technical work of painting from life over a four-year curriculum. They learn the time-honored painting and drawing atelier methodologies which were fashioned and practiced after the school's co-founder, Nelson Shanks. Along with the development of a technical aptitude on how to build a painting from the ground up, students become articulate in sharing this knowledge. Since its inception, Studio Incamminati has expanded its educational focus, to include sculpture, anatomical drawing and design fundamentals into our curriculum.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art: Atelier Concentration

The recently launched BFA program is a unique a partnership with Rowan University in New Jersey. This will culminate in a Bachelor of Fine Arts: Atelier Concentration awarded from Rowan University.

Advanced Fine Art Program

This program requires four years of technical training in realist art, culminating in a Certificate of Art. The curriculum is based on teaching representational art—figurative, still life and portrait, and is designed for those seeking superior classical drawing and painting skills vital to other disciplines such as illustration, animation, graphic design and concept art for films, video games, books and other media.

We recommend this pathway for those who may already have a degree but want to further their art education, or artists looking to strengthen their skills with no interest in a degree.
